Job Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business plans that support the strategic objectives of the company within the oil and gas industry. This role involves analyzing market trends, forecasting, budgeting, and collaborating with various departments to ensure alignment with the company’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Assist in the development of long-term strategies and business plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the oil and gas industry.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Monitor financial performance against the budget, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Project Evaluation:
- Evaluate potential projects and investments, conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Work closely with project teams to ensure that financial and operational plans are feasible and align with the company’s strategy.
Market Analysis:
- Analyze supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and competitive landscape within the oil and gas sector.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market data to support decision-making processes.
Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing key findings, insights, and recommendations.
- Ensure that all planning and reporting activities are conducted in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and engineering, to gather necessary data and ensure cohesive planning efforts.
- Act as a liaison between the business planning team and other departments to ensure alignment on key objectives and initiatives.
Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously seek to improve planning processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in business planning, financial analysis, or strategic planning within the oil and gas industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
