Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and mentor a team of finance professionals to ensure smooth execution of financial reporting, control, and operational tasks.
- Support senior management and the Finance Manager (FM) in financial planning, budgeting, and strategic decision-making.
- Oversee financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cost management and improve business performance.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal policies, including MFRS, Malaysian GAAP, Companies Act 2016, and Income Tax Act 1967.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment to support business growth and sustainability.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial decision-making.
- Candidates with experience in audit practice and a strong technical background, especially in the construction, property development, or manufacturing sectors, will be considered.
- Potential to transition into the Finance Manager (FM) role upon the incumbent’s retirement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a related field.
- A recognized Professional Accountancy qualification i.e. - ACCA, CPA or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance and Accounting with exposure in construction property development or manufacturing. Experience working in water-works industry is an added advantage.
- Good working knowledge on company law and related legislation, MFRS, cost-accounting and taxation
- Strong supervisory and team building skills

Pay: RM1,695.53 - RM7,112.71 per month
