About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage need to ensure complete detailed checks of the entire F&B operation during all service periods taking necessary actions to correct any deviation from quality standards. The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage reports to the Director of Food & Beverage.
As Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, you will be responsible for the following duties:
Foster positive thinking and motivation within all F&B outlets by giving active assistance and advice on more effective ways of running the outlets
Ensure that positive working relations with non-F&B departments are fostered giving cooperation at all times
Ensure that all designed action points from daily briefings or weekly/ monthly operational meetings are being followed by the individuals concerned
Plan the activities, promotions, and menu implementations according to the annual marketing plan
Complete detailed checks of the entire F&B operation during all service periods taking necessary actions to correct any deviation from quality standards
Co-ordinate all aspects of the point of sales implementation
Conduct weekly inspections of restaurants with minute follow-ups
Carry out projects and assignments as requested by the Director of F&B e.g. beverage lists, menus, etc.
As Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, we expect from you:
Degree in Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum 8 years of total working experience with at least 2 years of working experience in a 5-star hotel operation in similar capacity.
Excellent communication skills whether verbal, written or non-verbal.
Strong background on F&B technical knowledge.
Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
