1. Collect and analyze data to determine costs of business activities (e.g, raw material purchases, labor, inventory, and overhead)
2. Prepare detailed cost analyses for products, services, or departments.
3. Develop and maintain standard cost systems and update them periodically.
4. Work closely with sales, production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure accurate cost recording.
5. Monitor variances and investigate causes for deviations from standard costs
6. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost data
7. Review and update the Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing details for accuracy.
8. Prepare reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
9. Support internal and external audits by providing cost-related information.
10. Suggest cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
11. Pricing strategy - Work with sales teams to set competitive pricing based on production costs, contributing to the company's market positioning.
12. Management Reporting - Prepare cost reports and profitability analysis for management, supporting strategic decision-making.
13. Prepare new customers/products pricing.
14. Assist in stock take & stock take reconciliation.
