Account & Finance Manager (Construction)

• Oversee all finance functions, including accounts payable, treasury, fixed assets, inventory, taxation, and compliance reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, audit schedules, and tax submissions.
• Provide management with regular financial analysis, insights, and performance reports.
• Ensure smooth daily operations of the finance department, including timely management reports and financial projections.
• Develop annual budgets and forecasts, and analyze variances against actual results.
• Manage the company’s tax matters, ensuring accurate and timely compliance.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, financial institutions, and government authorities.
• Monitor and manage cash flow and banking activities to support the company’s financial obligations.
• Ensure all financial activities comply with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare special financial and operational reports as required by senior management.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to achieve departmental goals.
• Review and approve staff claims, payment processes, and manage leave records.
• Oversee employee performance appraisals, promotions, and confirmation reviews.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management within a computerized accounting environment
• 3–5 years of experience specifically in the construction industry is required
• Proficient in Mandarin (spoken, written, and reading) to communicate with Mandarin-speaking principals
• Strong leadership and analytical skills
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as UBS, SQL, MYOB, or Globe3 ERP
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• 5-day work week (Monday to Friday)
• Must be willing to work in Pasir Gudang

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM12,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
