We are seeking a skilled and passionate Thai Chef to prepare authentic and high-quality Thai cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of traditional Thai ingredients, cooking methods, and presentation. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest food quality, kitchen hygiene, and customer satisfaction.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Prepare and cook authentic Thai cuisine, including curries, stir-fries, noodle dishes, soups, and traditional Thai desserts.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and safety in all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Develop and update Thai menu items based on seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen, in full compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor kitchen inventory, order supplies as needed, and implement food cost control measures.
- Train, supervise, and support junior kitchen staff or kitchen assistants as required.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning across all dishes.
- Accommodate dietary needs and special requests from customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Lead or assist in Thai cooking classes for guests, providing an engaging and educational culinary experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience as a Thai Chef or Cook, preferably in a high-paced restaurant or hotel.
- In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine and regional specialties.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety standards.
- Culinary training or certification
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Creative approach to modern and traditional Thai dishes.
- Passion for culinary arts and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of other Southeast Asian cuisines is a plus.
