Job Summary:
The Sales and Banquet Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing all aspects of banquet and event operations. This role involves handling client relationships, coordinating with departments for event execution, and ensuring seamless delivery of services to exceed guest expectations while meeting financial goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in corporate, social, and wedding markets.
- Develop strategies to increase banquet and event bookings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key clients, event planners, and vendors.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Oversee the planning and execution of all banquet and event functions.
- Liaise with clients to gather event requirements and finalize arrangements.
- Coordinate with internal departments (kitchen, service, housekeeping, etc.) to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Prepare Event Orders (EOs) and communicate to operational teams.
Operations & Supervision
- Supervise banquet operations on event days to ensure quality service and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure set-up, service, and breakdown of banquet events are timely and meet standards.
- Train and manage banquet staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and customer service excellence.
- Monitor inventory and ensure adequate stock of supplies and equipment.
Financial & Administrative
- Prepare sales forecasts and banquet budgets.
- Monitor and control costs, wastage, and labor efficiency during events.
- Ensure accurate billing and payment follow-ups.
- Analyze feedback and reports to improve performance and guest experience.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Sales, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in banquet sales or event management, preferably in a hotel or F&B setting.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office; experience with PMS or event management software is an advantage.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
