What you'll be doing?
- Strategic sourcing: Evaluate and purchase materials, tools, and services for construction projects.
- Supplier management: Work with suppliers to negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Market research: Assist in product research and supplier identification through phone or internet inquiries.
- Project coordination: Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and site engineers to understand project timelines and technical requirements for procurement planning.
- Cost control: Ensure all expenses are allocated correctly and prepare cost comparisons to maximize savings against budget.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit detailed reports on monthly purchase orders issued and equipment maintenance.
- Documentation: Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery orders, ensuring timely handover to the accounting department.
Who are they looking for?
- Educational background: Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management & Logistics, Business Administration, Business Management, or equivalent field.
- Language skills: Proficiency in Mandarin (mandatory), English, and Bahasa Malaysia to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Industry experience: At least 3 years of experience as a purchaser/procurement professional, preferably with knowledge of construction machinery, equipment, spare parts, and tools.
- Negotiation prowess: Strong negotiation and contract management skills to secure the best deals for the company.
- Technical proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Autocount Accounting software.
- Transportation: Possess own transport for commuting to work
