Job Summary
As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation, execution, and presentation of all pastries, and baked goods. You will ensure high-quality standards, maintain consistency, and lead a team to create visually stunning and delicious pastries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and execute high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
- Oversee the daily production of pastry and bakery items while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Ensure all recipes, preparation, and presentation meet company standards.
- Innovate and introduce seasonal and new menu items in line with trends and customer preferences.
- Manage inventory, order ingredients, and control food costs efficiently.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and kitchen team to create complementary desserts.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Head Baker, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, pastry arts, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity and ability to develop new recipes and seasonal menus.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Passion for the culinary arts and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal culinary training in pastry arts.
- Experience in a high-volume restaurant, café, or hotel.
- Knowledge of modern pastry trends and techniques.
