Job Description
We are looking for a senior and strategic individual to spearhead our B2B expansion through two critical, high-impact initiatives. This is a unique role for an individual who can combine sharp commercial drive with a deep understanding of strategy, culture, and partnership building. You will report to the Senior Manager, Demand Planning and GrabGifts, and work closely with a wide array of cross-functional teams, including GCS management, Sales, Marketing, and Finance, to drive regional alignment and execution.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Spearhead China Market Expansion
Develop and execute the end-to-end go-to-market (GTM) strategy to successfully launch and scale Grab for Business to the Chinese market.
Cultivate a robust network of strategic partners, channel resellers, and key industry players to accelerate growth and market penetration.
Expertly navigate the cultural and business nuances of the Chinese market to build sustainable, long-term partnerships.
Secure High-Value Strategic Partnerships
Identify, pursue, and secure large-scale, strategic partnerships that drive significant Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and align with our long-term vision.
Lead high-stakes negotiations and structure creative, multi-faceted deals with senior-level external stakeholders.
Build data-driven, compelling business cases by synthesizing market intelligence and internal capabilities to secure buy-in and resource allocation for key initiatives.
Qualifications
Language: Business fluency in both English and Mandarin Chinese is essential for negotiation and relationship building in the China market.
Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a senior commercial role, preferably in a fast-paced B2B tech environment.
High-Stakes Negotiation: A proven track record of leading complex negotiations and structuring high-value, win-win deals.
Strategic Judgment: The ability to synthesize vast amounts of information (market data, competitive intelligence, internal dynamics) into a coherent and compelling strategy.
China Market Experience: Demonstrable experience and a strong, active network within the Chinese business landscape, with a deep understanding of its culture and operating norms.
Commercial Acumen & P&L Ownership: Strong commercial acumen with experience managing a P&L or being directly accountable for significant revenue targets.
Mindset: An ambitious, resilient, and highly-motivated mindset. You are an independent thinker who thrives on ownership and excels at navigating ambiguity (VUCA).
