- Handling litigation cases from initial client consultation through trial preparation.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to develop effective legal strategies and assist in settlement, negotiations.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with clients, witnesses, and provide updates on case progress.
- Providing legal opinions to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Reviewing and drafting various types of contracts and other legal documentations for the Group;
- Negotiating contracts with internal and external parties and finalizing contracts for execution;
- Highlight legal risks effectively via the established governance process;
- Providing legal advisory and guidance to the Group (general or specific areas of law);
- Identifying and escalating legal and regulatory issues to the Group;
- Contract administration, compliance and approval;
- Reviewing and updating standard legal templates as and when necessary;
- Educate internal clients on the relevant legal issues as and when necessary;
- Conducting legal researches on various issues of law as and when requested by the superiors; and
- Supporting and assisting the superiors in all areas of work.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Law or a related field
Minimum 1 - 5 years of working experience in a legal environment
Experience as an in-house legal counsel is an advantage
Strong written and spoken communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
