Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to handle electrical installations, maintenance, and repair works for residential and commercial fit-out projects. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, lighting systems, and related equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Perform inspection and testing of electrical systems and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Collaborate with project teams, including contractors, designers, and other trades, to coordinate installation timelines.
- Install and configure new lighting fixtures, power points, switchboards, and other electrical components.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Respond to maintenance requests and perform timely repairs as needed.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Valid Electrician certification or license (e.g., PW4, PW2, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as an electrician in construction or fit-out projects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, safety practices, and testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and comfortable working on-site in various environments.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Own transport is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with smart home systems, LED lighting, or energy-efficient installations.
- Familiar with Malaysian electrical standards (e.g., Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations).
- CIDB green card holder.
