Secondary Bahasa Melayu and Business Studies Teacher is entrusted with the design and delivery of captivating and impactful lessons in Bahasa Melayu and Business Studies subjects following international school standards; IGCSE Cambridge. Their primary responsibilities include cultivating language proficiency and fostering cultural appreciation among students through innovative and effective teaching methods.

Bahasa Melayu and Business Studies Teacher – Key Responsibilities


 Curriculum Development:


  • Develop and update Bahasa Melayu curriculum materials in alignment with IGCSE Malay Foreign Language educational standards.
  • Integrate cultural components into lesson plans to enhance students' understanding and appreciation of Bahasa Melayu culture.


 Assessment and Feedback:

  • Develop and administer assessments to measure language proficiency.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, fostering continuous improvement.


 Student support

  • Collaborate with Bahasa Melayu teachers and the Head of Language to address academic needs within the department.
  • Provide additional assistance or enrichment for students requiring personalized support.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment to enhance student success.


 Communication

  • Communicate effectively with the Head of Language regarding any academic concerns related to students.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Language and Bahasa Melayu teachers to discuss and address issues raised by students.
  • Ensure open and regular communication channels to facilitate a supportive environment for resolving academic concerns and enhancing overall student experience.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' progress and language development.


 Professional Development

  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of language teaching methodologies and cultural trends.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of language instruction.
