Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand our travel agency’s market presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong partnerships, and increasing revenue streams. Proficiency in reading and writing Chinese is mandatory to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking clients, suppliers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities:Business Growth & Market Expansion:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets, with a focus on Chinese-speaking regions.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
- Research market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to uncover untapped opportunities.
Partnership & Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including travel suppliers, hotels, airlines, tour operators, and corporate clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commission structures to maximize profitability.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to enhance brand visibility.
Sales & Revenue Generation:
- Generate leads, pitch services, and close deals with B2B and B2C clients.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns for Chinese-speaking markets.
- Prepare compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales collateral to attract new clients.
Client & Market Engagement:
- Act as the primary point of contact for Chinese-speaking partners and clients, ensuring clear and professional communication.
- Gather feedback from clients and partners to refine offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
- Monitor industry regulations and trends affecting travel businesses, particularly in Chinese markets.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
- Fluent in reading and writing Chinese (Mandarin) – a mandatory requirement.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the travel industry.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable strategies.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.
- Familiarity with travel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre) is a plus.
