The role will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of business development initiatives and events for Ilham Dining Concepts. This role requires a proactive, organised individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about F&B, branding, and experiential activations.
Job Description:
Your responsibilities as the Business Development & Events Assistant Manager will include but not limited to:
- Business Development Support
- Research and identify new outlet locations, partnership opportunities, collaborators, and potential revenue channels (e.g., brand tie-ins, corporate events, product launches).
- Take lead in the preparation of proposals, decks, and pitch materials.
- Track and follow up on leads, enquiries, and incoming partnership requests.
- Event Planning & Coordination
- Take lead in the planning and execution of internal and external events, including soft launches, media previews, pop-ups, seasonal activations, etc.
- Liaise with operations & marketing teams to ensure smooth on-ground execution.
- Attend and assist during events to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Handle event-related paperwork including bookings, POs, invoices, and recaps.
- Prepare briefing documents, production timelines, and run sheets.
- Assist in post-event reporting and performance tracking.
- Marketing & Communications
- Coordinate with marketing team or vendors to ensure BD-related visuals and event promotions are aligned.
- Assist with content ideas for social media in relation to activations or BD collabs.
- Others:
- Understand and agree that the company management reserve the right to add or remove clauses to these job descriptions.
- Carry out all ad-hoc duties/ tasks as instructed by the leadership team from Ilham Dining Concepts that are within the parameters of Company’s values and Purpose.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Hospitality, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years’ experience in business development, events, F&B, hospitality, or agency work.
- Strong command of spoken and written English (Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin are a plus).
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail - able to juggle multiple deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable presenting ideas, coordinating with vendors, and liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, curious, and solutions-driven - someone who takes initiative and learns quickly.
- Competent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and basic tools like Canva or similar platforms.
- Willing to work outside of regular hours, including weekends or evenings, especially during events or launches.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
