Job Description – Assistant Manager, Education Quality & Compliance (EQUAL)
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Compliance Support
- Assist in implementing the university’s EQUAL strategy, ensuring academic and administrative processes meet MQA standards and internal policies.
- Support program reviews, accreditation exercises, and re-accreditation processes by preparing documentation and coordinating with academic units.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in ensuring university-wide adherence to quality standards.
Audit and Review Activities
- Coordinate internal audits, quality reviews, and data collection across faculties and departments.
- Assist in developing audit schedules, tracking action plans, and preparing reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain records and documentation to support accreditation and institutional audits.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Liaise with faculty members, administrative staff, and students to ensure awareness and compliance with quality assurance policies.
- Provide administrative and coordination support during visits from MQA, MOHE, and other accrediting bodies.
- Support engagement with external quality assurance networks and forums.
Policy and Process Implementation
- Assist in the development and communication of quality-related policies and guidelines for curriculum standards, program evaluation, and student outcomes.
- Support academic teams in adhering to EQUAL standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Data Management and Reporting
- Collect, verify, and compile performance data for quality assurance reporting to MQA and university leadership.
- Generate regular monitoring reports, highlighting areas of compliance and potential gaps.
- Support data analysis activities to identify opportunities for improvement.
Training and Capacity Building
- Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops on quality assurance, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
- Provide administrative support for professional development activities, including tracking attendance and feedback.
Administrative and Resource Support
- Provide day-to-day support in managing departmental documentation, records, and communication.
- Assist with budget tracking and resource allocation for EQUAL-related activities.
- Ensure timely submission of documents and compliance reports.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Higher Education Administration, or related field.
- Additional certification in quality assurance, audit, or compliance is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in education administration, quality assurance, compliance, or accreditation support.
- Familiarity with MQA requirements and Malaysian higher education policies preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prepare reports, manage documentation, and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management tools.
Other Requirements
- Knowledge of Malaysian higher education policies and quality frameworks is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic and administrative teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
