Join our award-winning British seafood restaurant in Ampang! We're a fast-paced, from-scratch kitchen serving up classic Fish & Chips and more. We’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Chef to support daily prep, cooking, and kitchen operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Cook during service (sauté & deep-fry focused)
- Assist with food prep and daily mise en place
- Follow SOPs and maintain kitchen hygiene
- Support inventory checks and basic paperwork
- Work closely with the Head Chef & kitchen team
- Keep food quality and speed consistent, especially during peak hours
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of kitchen experience (hotel/restaurant preferred)
- Strong in deep-fry, sauté, and fast service
- Disciplined, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to work split shifts, weekends & public holidays
- Willing to learn paperwork and grow in the role
- Good communication in English & Bahasa Melayu
- Fresh grads or diploma holders in culinary encouraged to apply
