Job Summary:
MK Sustainable Scrap Sdn Bhd is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations using Zoho Books. The successful candidate will act as the liaison between the company and external parties such as the company accountant and auditor. This role is based at our facility in Balakong Industrial Park.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle daily accounting operations and data entry in Zoho Books.
- Record and reconcile customer invoices, supplier bills, receipts, and payments.
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly reports such as profit & loss, cash flow, and balance sheets.
- Manage petty cash and assist with bank reconciliations.
- Ensure all supporting documents are properly filed and accounted for.
- Act as liaison and coordinate with external accountant and company auditor for reporting, tax filing, and year-end audit.
- Support in preparation of SST submission and documentation.
- Assist in payroll-related data input and reporting (optional based on internal structure).
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and internal policies.
- Provide administrative support related to finance functions when required.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of accounting experience (Fresh graduates with internship experience may also be considered).
- Familiarity with Zoho Books is highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of Malaysian accounting and tax practices (SST).
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Working Conditions:
- Work Location: On-site at Balakong, Taming Jaya Industrial Park
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Saturday as per operational requirement)
