Workshop Technician – Mission Equipment / Hoist Shop

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Technician specializing in Rescue Hoist Systems (RHS), Bumpa Hoist, and Cargo Hawk to join our team in Abu Dhabi! Reporting to the Hoist Supervisor, you will perform inspections, servicing, and repairs to ensure the safe and serviceable condition of RHS and associated mission equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform equipment inspections, troubleshooting, removal, and installation of RHS, Bumpa Hoist, and Cargo Hawk systems.
- Conduct operational and functional checks, assembly, disassembly, and fault rectification per maintenance manuals and safety directives.
- Maintain and requisition parts, shop supplies, and bench stock for RHS, Bumpa Hoist, and Cargo Hawk repairs.
- Train and mentor host national personnel in RHS and mission equipment maintenance procedures.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in line with relevant procedure and regulations.
- Oversee tools and equipment inventory, ensuring compliance with operational standards
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- High School Diploma required
- Completion of a formal RHS training course from an accredited military or civilian school
- OJT training in RHS maintenance (if formally documented)
- 5+ years experience in aviation maintenance
- 5+ years working with RHS, including hoist repair, Bumpa Hoist, and Cargo Hawk systems
- Knowledge of The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) preferable
