Position description
To ensure smooth flow in the parts department, parts ordering, supply to technicians, replenishing stock done on time, monitoring parts inventory before purchasing, and conducting stock inventory to prevent shortage or theft. Lead the parts department in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
Daily Deliverables
- Replenishes stock on the service floor as needed and places special orders for service advisers based on customer approval when necessary.
- Checks items received against the shipping invoice to ensure the shipment is accurate.
- Uses inventory control software to log information and conduct regular store inventory.
- Answers customer and sales associate questions about available items in stock.
- To ensure recall part monitoring, make available stock all the time.
- Packs up defective items or overstock and arranges for the return shipment to SPC.
- To charge out part into the correct invoice type in the job card once supplied to technician.
- To keep parts in their proper location and check daily to prevent shortages and theft.
- Comply with operational core competencies and key accountability.
- Assists in cleaning up the store and stockroom during closing shifts.
Weekly Deliverables
- Perform part ordering; replenish.
- Conducts regular store inventory on a on a weekly basis with a part stock count to prevent shortages of parts and theft.
- Warranty part ordering: replenish.
- Weekly checking on parts that have been drawn out of the vehicle to prevent theft.
- Recall the monitoring report.
- To ensure all the parts locations are updated in the system upon receiving.
- To stock in the lubricant order.
- To ensure all the parts picking slips and received invoices are sent to the after-sales manager for verification.
- To ensure spare part cleanliness.
- Observes proper safety procedures in the stockroom, particularly when lifting and moving heavy items.
Monthly Deliverables
- Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective Parts
Department processes to ensure internal and external customer
satisfaction.
- Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories in conjunction with
other store locations.
- Creates annual Parts Department goals and budget in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives.
- Develops and executes Parts Department marketing plan and monitors
monthly to ensure the achievement of departmental goals.
- Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures.
- Maximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management
stock order goals.
- Assists managers and associates in preventing theft and maintaining proper inventory.
- To keep parts in the location bin properly and check on parts.
- To complete the outstanding part invoice.
- To support any urgent job / special request from management.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
