Overview
Our client, a prominent regional player in engineering solutions for the Data Center sector, is looking for an experienced Tendering Manager to lead their bidding operations. Reporting to the Vice President – Data Center Segment, this role will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and submission of high-quality, competitive tenders that meet both client expectations and company objectives.
You will drive bid strategies, manage stakeholder engagement, and contribute to securing large-scale infrastructure and M&E engineering projects.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and develop the tendering team to deliver accurate, well-structured, and timely submissions.
- Oversee the complete tendering cycle — from opportunity assessment through to final delivery.
- Examine tender specifications, drawings, and technical requirements to create comprehensive bid proposals.
- Work in close collaboration with internal functions such as engineering, quantity surveying, and project management to prepare cost estimates, technical content, and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry regulations, and organizational standards in all submissions.
- Assess and identify potential risks in proposals, recommending mitigation measures.
- Support contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors during the bidding stage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, suppliers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on tender success rates, recommending process improvements to enhance competitiveness.
- Keep abreast of industry movements, competitor tactics, and relevant market developments.
Work Expectations
- Engage in client site visits, participate in walkthroughs, and attend industry exhibitions or networking events.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in tendering within a Main Contractor or M&E Services setting.
- In-depth understanding of tender processes, contract terms, and construction project workflows.
- Proven leadership capability, with strong time management and decision-making skills.
- Competence in cost evaluation, bid strategy development, and technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively liaise with China-based suppliers, contractors, and clients.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Pay: From RM8,000.00 per month
