Job Purpose
To performs regular inspections for mechanical and electrical system, drainage, and other plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts and ensure that the preventive and corrective maintenance for all the hotel facilities is done promptly, accordingly and compliance to local and national regulations.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
- To installs, maintains, and repairs pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems in residential and commercial structures.
- To assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- To modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for a building, if any.
- To repair domestic appliances, such as dishwashers and gas cookers.
- To perform maintenance of electrical systems, replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.
- To perform manual repairs when necessary, such as fix locks, replace windows etc.
- To schedule routine checks with the team and log the data of all facilities and follow up on the faults and repair works if required.
- To conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
- Report and documenting the problem and summary of actions taken.
- To follow health and safety standards and complies with building codes.
- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the work area.
- Performs other assign duties and projects by immediate supervisors/HOD from time to time.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- Education: SPM/ STPM/ Diploma in Engineering (any major) or equivalent
- Experience: 1 to 2 years’ of related experience in similar industry
- Do not afraid of height
- Basic computer skills
