Scope of Work: Supply Chain Specialist
In this role, you will serve as the primary ERP/MRP Subject Matter Expert (SME), working closely with Project Management, Sales, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse/Distribution teams. You will be responsible for ensuring seamless customer order fulfillment, efficient material planning, and alignment of supply with customer demand, while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing overall supply chain costs.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Management (SCM)
- Act as SME for ERP/MRP (Sage) to support order fulfillment and material planning.
- Monitor and track SCM KPIs (e.g., Material OTD, customer OTD, forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, supplier performance).
Order Management
- Ensure customer service order processing in ERP (Sage) is accurate (order confirmation, cancellation, delivery confirmation, etc.).
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve order-related issues promptly.
Material Planning & Inventory Management
- Perform material planning using MRP (Sage) to ensure sufficient supply for customer demand.
- Develop accurate demand forecasts and maintain optimal safety stock levels for high-demand and active materials.
Supplier & Procurement Coordination
- Submit Form41 for new part number creation.
- Coordinate with suppliers on delivery schedules and documentation completeness.
- Track supplier performance and escalate issues when necessary.
Logistics & Shipment Planning
- Coordinate logistics activities with PM, Warehouse/Distribution, and freight forwarders.
- Oversee customs clearance and ensure timely preparation of shipment documentation.
Quotation & Account Receivables Support
- Follow up on customer quotations (from CS) and selling price (from Sales).
- Work with the billing team to ensure timely invoicing and reduce overdue payments.
Samples & Testing Coordination
- Support timely dispatch of requested samples for customer evaluation and testing.
Escalation & Point of Contact
- Act as the first point of contact for new projects, customer escalations, or system troubleshooting.
- Support management in ad-hoc tasks and improvement initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
- 2–3 years’ experience in material planning, order management, or supply chain roles (distribution or manufacturing preferred).
- Strong knowledge of SCM processes, logistics operations, and customs regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP/WMS systems (Sage preferred).
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities across functions.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline (or equivalent).
