Job Summary:
We are looking for a researcher specialised in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. As a Researcher at the Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC), you will be expected to optimize and map out the sourcing, transport, and storage of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) feedstocks to ensure sustainable and cost-effective supply chains from origin to production facility as well as SAF from facility to end-use. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to drive our mission towards a more sustainable aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse feedstock supply chains based on availability, seasonal variation, and feedstock quality.
- Identify and evaluate feedstock sourcing strategies to ensure practical, cost-effective, and sustainable supply for SAF production.
- Identify and address logistical challenges including infrastructure availability for collection, storage, processing, and transportation.
- Optimise feedstock and SAF transport routes through considering various modes of transport to minimize cost, carbon emissions and handling losses.
- Evaluate regional and global feedstock market dynamics to anticipate supply risks and price volatility.
- Ensure compliance with sustainability certification schemes namely Roundtable on Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB), International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) and ClassNK.
- Collaborate with feedstock and chemical process engineers as well as software developers to integrate logistical data and mapping into a modelling platform.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Operations Management, Data Science, Data Analytics, or equivalent
- Familiarity with the CORSIA framework, RSB, ISCC and ClassNK sustainability criteria.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data modelling and impact assessments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
