Position Overview
Our company's Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization plays a pivotal role in designing, governing, and executing global processes. Within GBS, the Source to Settle (StS) organization takes charge of ensuring the timely and efficient processing of employee purchase orders, supplier invoices, and payments. The StS process encompasses various critical activities, including Vendor Master Data setup, Supplier Onboarding, Purchasing, Invoicing, Settlements, as well as StS Support.
The Manager will have a diverse range of responsibilities spanning Vendor Master Data. The primary accountability will be to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of the Vendor Master Data process, with a specific focus on achieving the supplier onboarding KPIs & SLAs. In addition, they will oversee the execution of key and operational controls. The leadership responsibilities will encompass a team of Vendor Master Data Specialists located in Malaysia The Manager may also be entrusted with the global management, governance, and effectiveness of our Settlements Business Process Outsource provider. Additionally, the role will necessitate a comprehensive understanding of strategies and end-to-end process requirements. This understanding will ensure that master data related to workstreams is appropriately maintained, thus optimizing business transactions.
The role will encompass responsibilities such as overseeing operational performance, managing a team of individuals, fostering talent development, and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements and global process design. It is expected that the manager will actively participate in identifying and supporting process improvement initiatives, as well as effectively implementing any global design changes and other transformation initiatives within the team. Additionally, the manager is expected to establish and nurture robust and positive business relationships across divisions and regions, demonstrating strong leadership qualities. A global mindset, sound business judgment, and effective communication skills are vital attributes for this position.
Position Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead a team of StS Specialists in executing Vendor Master Data processes and effectively manage team resource utilization to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
Ensure all team members understand their role in the end-to-end StS design, provide adequate training, and deliver high-quality service to employees and suppliers.
Support Mergers and Acquisitions by conducting data quality reviews before onboarding legacy suppliers and collaborating with other Vendor Master Data managers to resolve issues within the current process to ensure employee and supplier satisfaction.
Potentially oversee the global management, governance, and effectiveness of a third-party processing organization responsible for Vendor Master Data.
Assist the VMD Associate Director with budget and productivity targets, and align with GBS, Finance, Procurement, IT, and other stakeholders to support their operational objectives.
Foster a close partnership with relevant StS Support Manager(s) to enable knowledge sharing and effective day-to-day operations and collaborate with IT business partners to analyze technical issues and identify opportunities for system enhancements.
Support Internal and External Audit teams during audits, address open concerns or findings, and monitor metrics to evaluate process health and team effectiveness.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of process knowledge articles and training materials, ensure adherence to the global process design, policies, and compliance requirements, and align all GBS Global work instructions with the process structure and design, including SOX controls.
Support the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity, inform and support strategy for continuous improvement opportunities, and communicate with relevant stakeholder groups to secure engagement, alignment, and accountability.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields preferred
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required
Fluency oral and written communication in English required
Strong understanding Vendor Master Data and StS activities, and surrounding processes
Experience in oversight and/or supervision of staff. Project Management and prioritization skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive management style
Experience supporting change initiatives
Effective communication, interpersonal, and organization skills required

Ability to effectively interact with more senior members of the organization

Required Attributes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint at a minimum) required
SAP and VMD platforms experience required

Ability to operate independently and remain focused through change or uncertainty
Strong customer service mindset
Open to Occasional Business Travel
