Primary Job Function
The primary job function of an MDM (Master Data Management) Analyst is to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of the organization's master data. This will include interpreting Vendor and Customer master data requests from global and divisional offices and ensuring that workflows are completed within agreed service level lead times. The market served for this position will be in the Europe and Middle East region.
Core Job Responsibilities
Data Stewardship:
Perform daily MDM data steward activities.
Maintain and update master data records.
Support new development processes.
Data Analysis and Identification:
Analyze master data and data sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
Identify data quality issues and inconsistencies.
Document data terms, definitions, standards, and MDM processes.
Data Governance and Management:
Develop and implement data quality metrics and processes.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across business systems.
Define data models, hierarchies, taxonomies, and workflows.
Collaborate with stakeholders to align data practices with business objectives.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvement and data management optimization.
Troubleshoot master data management issues.
Work within the MDM organization to develop and implement data quality metrics.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate data insights to key stakeholders to support decision-making.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the organization's data needs are met.
Work closely with business area leads to ensure cross-team processes are efficient.
