Job Summary:
The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accurate stock records, proper storage conditions, and timely distribution to support smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and materials.
- Organize and maintain stock in the store/warehouse.
- Issue materials and supplies to relevant departments as requested.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels regularly.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of items.
- Keep the store/warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments on stock requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management.
- Ability to operate store/warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) is an advantage.
- Experience in storekeeping/warehouse operations preferred.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
