We are seeking a highly experienced network infrastructure engineer with recognised certifications and extensive experience working with best of breed infrastructure technologies to join our Infrastructure team across the Glory Global Solutions Group.The position will have responsibility for design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting [IS1] Glory network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability. The role requires expertise in network protocols, security configurations, cloud networking, and automation, with extensive experience supporting business operations and delivering technical projects across a multisite international ecosystem.Working as part of the IT Team you will need to have a strong record of IT Infrastructure administration and troubleshooting working alongside peers who will have responsibility for Systems Administration and complementing the overall functional IT Operating model. [IS2] This position will work closely with the Solutions Architect to ensure best of breed infrastructure technologies are designed to compliment and facilitate the groups vision of global alignment and scalability.This role forms part of a re-alignment of technical skills within the team aligning resources to specific areas of expertise & technology, and represents an exciting opportunity that would suit someone looking to apply their extensive knowledge and expertise to shape the future of Glory’s IT infrastructure.[IS1]I think we need to add in “design and implementation”

Key Responsibilities
Technical Hands-on skills in the following areas - Network Design & Implementation:· Design, deploy, maintain & troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN solutions.- Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers (Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, etc.).
- Optimize network architecture for high availability, redundancy, and scalability.
- Conduct capacity planning and recommend hardware/software upgrades.
- Support the Global infrastructure across multiple locations and geographies.
- Solid understanding and experience troubleshooting LAN and WAN technologies / protocols as well as security related technologies including, Fortigate FW & IDS, Cisco ASA.
- Ensuring IT infrastructure assets are logged, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation are in place, regularly reviewed and maintained
- Implement and manage network security policies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS).
- Support regular vulnerability assessments and network penetration testing and provide solutions to mitigate identified risks
- Collaborate with Security teams to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other industry standards.
- Manage cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud) including VPCs, peering, and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement Maintaining, troubleshooting SD-WAN & SASE infrastructure and cloud-based firewall solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, Security, and System Administrators.
- Collaborate with document authors to ensure network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures are all captured and maintained.
- Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff.
- You’ll have Infrastructure certifications like CompTIA Network+, Cisco's CCNA, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, Azure Administrator Associate and the ability to analyse current systems and processes to identify improvements.
- You’ll have an in-depth understanding of infrastructure components (servers, networks, storage, cloud services, etc.)
- You’ll also have the ability to create clear and detailed reports and documentation of systems and infrastructure alongside the ability to plan and manage the structure projects and work packages.
- You’ll be comfortable working autonomously and as a part of a team and will be comfortable taking the lead.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Formal Education & Certification· University degree or college diploma in the field of computer science and/or 10+ years equivalent work experience.· Essential:· Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Azure Certified Advanced Networking).· 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering or administration.· Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, MPLS, SASE· Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent network hardware.· Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (SNMP, etc.).· Knowledge of firewall rules, VPNs, and security best practices.· Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).· Experience with SD-WAN, Zero Trust Networking, IPv6.· Knowledge of Cloud based telephony solutions, VoIP, QoS, SIP, and network telephony solutions.· Experience working in high-availability or enterprise environments.· Familiarity with automation tools.Personal Attributes
