We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manufacturing Manager to lead and optimise production operations with a strong focus on special processes, including electropolishing (EP), passivation, anodisation, and related surface treatments. This role will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of manufacturing activities to ensure that production goals, quality standards, and safety regulations are consistently met.
- Manage day-to-day operations of manufacturing with an emphasis on special processes.
- Ensure production output aligns with quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
- Oversee scheduling and prioritization of work orders involving special processes.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to monitor and improve process control.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related quality issues.
- Maintain strict compliance with all applicable industry standards and safety requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.
- Analyze and improve production workflows, equipment utilization, and throughput efficiency
- Supervise and mentor manufacturing supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, communication, and results.
- Coordinate training programs for operators and technical staff on special processes
- Track and report on KPIs including yield, scrap, cycle time, and downtime.
- Develop reports for senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning
Special Process Expertise
- Provide technical oversight and guidance on electropolishing (EP), passivation, anodization, and similar processes.
- Ensure all special processes are performed per customer, internal, and regulatory specifications.
- Support and maintain special process accreditations, including audit readiness
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field
- 8+ years manufacturing experience as factory leader
- 5+ years previous management experience required
- Hands-on experience with special processes such as electropolishing, passivation, and anodization
- Strong knowledge of process validation, FMEA, and SPC
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, lean principles, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma)
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Broad knowledge of process/production principles
