Job Description
- Design and specify electrical systems for data centres and buildings, including 132kV, 33kV, 415V, Generators, UPS and ELV systems
- Prepare relevant document, design calculations and drawings for submissions to authorities
- Attend client-consultant, site and technical meetings
- Provide project management and construction supervision
- Review contractors' technical submissions of equipment/material/drawings
- Conduct site inspection of installations
- Witness testing and commissioning of equipment/system
- Work with the clients' project team and fellow consultants to coordinate and detail project design requirement
- Be responsible for any duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, recognised by Board of Engineers, Malaysia
- Able to work in Malaysia
- At least 5 years of relevant experience with M&E Consultancy firm(s)
- Strong knowledge of local codes and regulations
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux and ETAP simulation software.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Positive work attitude
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Enjoy the process of developing design ideas into actual quality installation and validating through performance tests
- Likes hands-on site and testing & commissioning work
- Experience in Data Centre industry is preferred
- Suitable applicant with longer relevant experience, deeper technical knowledge and additional technical qualifications, such as Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate (PEPC), will be considered for more senior position
