1. Daily Operations & Facility Management
- Oversee student check-ins and check-outs, ensuring proper room inspections and asset handovers.
- Perform routine inspections of rooms and common areas to maintain safety and cleanliness standards.
- Identify and document maintenance needs, coordinating prompt resolutions with the appropriate teams.
- Work closely with housekeeping to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the residence.
2. Student Welfare & Support
- Serve as the initial point of contact for students experiencing emotional, social, or roommate-related concerns.
- Monitor student wellbeing through daily interactions and scheduled wellness checks.
- Refer students to university counselling or medical services when necessary and monitor their follow-up.
- Offer informal support and guidance, particularly assisting male students in adapting to campus life.
3. Policy Enforcement & Disciplinary Measures
- Ensure adherence to residence rules, including curfews, noise levels, guest policies, cleanliness, and safe use of appliances.
- Record policy breaches and issue warnings or penalties where appropriate.
- Escalate repeated or serious violations to the Residence Manager, with proper documentation.
4. Conflict Management & Mediation
- Assist in resolving student conflicts and mediating roommate disagreements.
- Promote respect, inclusivity, and understanding within the student community.
- Address minor disputes promptly to help maintain a harmonious living environment.
5. Student Engagement & Community Development
- Organize and facilitate community activities at the tower level, such as movie nights or peer support groups.
- Foster a sense of community and inclusivity among students from diverse backgrounds.
- Communicate important information and event updates via WhatsApp, notice boards, and other channels.
- Oversee the upkeep and welcoming environment of shared spaces like the Reading Hub.
6. Amenities Oversight
- Supervise the condition and cleanliness of facilities such as laundry rooms, vending machines, and convenience stores.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve technical issues or student complaints within 48 hours.
- Ensure vendors adhere to hygiene standards and contractual service agreements.
- Work alongside security teams to manage parking facilities and address safety concerns.
7. Emergency Response & Night Duty
- Participate in the night duty rotation and be available on-call for emergencies.
- Respond swiftly to critical situations, including medical incidents, fires, or security threats, coordinating with the relevant departments.
- Maintain a proactive presence at night through routine surveillance rounds.
- Lead or assist in emergency evacuations, ensuring clear communication of procedures to residents.
8. Administration, Reporting & Communication
- Maintain accurate records of student movements, room conditions, disciplinary actions, and maintenance requests.
- Provide regular updates to the Residence Manager, highlighting key events, curfew breaches, and student feedback.
- Assist with the management of appeals, penalties, and formal complaints.
- Attend team meetings, contribute updates, and follow through on assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure smooth shift handovers by properly documenting ongoing issues and pending cases.
