Role Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and business development activities across Malaysia for Lanco Integrated’s automation and manufacturing solutions. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract negotiation. The position requires a proactive “hunter” mindset, strong technical sales capability, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver tailored automation solutions.
Job Description:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate target markets and expand customer base.
- Manage sales pipeline, maintain active prospects, and ensure accurate reporting in CRM system.
- Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct client visits, assess technical requirements, and present viable automation/manufacturing solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to prepare proposals, estimates, and technical specifications.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, financial terms, and delivery schedules within approved parameters.
- Monitor industry trends, market intelligence, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies.
- Participate in trade shows, branding initiatives, and marketing activities to enhance company visibility.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, progress reports, and business updates to senior management.
- Uphold company’s Code of Business Conduct and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business/Marketing-related field.
- 7–10 years of proven experience in solution/system sales of capital equipment or industrial automation.
- Strong track record in strategic selling, negotiation, and closing multi-year contracts.
- Demonstrated “hunter mentality” with proactive approach to identifying and winning new business.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English (both verbal and written).
- Established network of contacts within relevant industry segments (automation, manufacturing, capital equipment).
- Ability to collaborate with technical teams and lead sales capture teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
