Position: Quantity Surveyor
Work Location: Island Glades, 11700 Penang
Working Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm (Monday – Friday)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, contract administration, and financial management of fire protection projects, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with cost budgeting for company projects.
- Control project costs and ensure the overall budget is maintained from inception to completion.
- Take off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities, and other tender documents.
- Assist in the tender process, including evaluation/pre-qualification, tender invitations, comparisons, interviews, and reports.
- Examine, analyze, and report on received tenders.
- Prepare and compile contract documents.
- Prepare Letters of Award/Work Orders for contractors/suppliers.
- Assist in the administration of construction contracts.
- Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in a quantity surveying role.
- Preferably experienced in handling fire protection system projects.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in spoken and written English, knowledge of local dialects is an advantage.
- Proficient in computer software such as MS Word and Excel.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
