Roles and Responsibilities:
- Ensure all food products comply with local and international food laws and regulations (e.g. HACCP, GMP, HALAL, ISO, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, Codex Alimentarius, FDA).
- Manage specification approvals for all packaging materials.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for product registration and approvals.
- Provide records and update labelling standards for products produced.
- Compile technical documents, Certificate of Analysis, and labelling information for submission to authorities.
- Ensure accurate and compliant product labelling, claims, nutritional facts and allergen declarations.
- To ensure that product labelling requirements are in accordance with the standards of South East Asia, Middle East, Europe and United States countries.
- Review and approve artwork, product claims, and promotional materials from regulatory perspective.
- Verify and check all the labelling products used in finish product packing operations.
- Collaborate with R&D, Exporting, Supply Chain, and Production Department to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on regulatory impacts of raw materials, new ingredients, packaging, and product development.
- Monitor and report on non-compliances or deviations from regulatory standards.
- Maintain up-to-date records and databases of regulatory files, product specifications and approval statuses.
Required Skills:
- Minimum Degree or equivalent in Food Science / Food Technology or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in the food packaging industry within Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Production or R&D; knowledge of SEA, Middle East, EU and US country labelling legislation is a distinct advantage.
- Strong understanding of the food industry, with direct experience in packaging legislation considered beneficial.
- This is a desk-based role focused on documentation management and customer relations is crucial for regulatory compliance and effective communication.
