Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchaser Assistant / Associate to support our purchasing and procurement functions. This role involves supplier sourcing, preparing purchase orders, monitoring inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and liaising with suppliers (mainly China) for raw materials and packaging.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on pricing, quality, service, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and related documentation.
- Maintain and update supplier and product databases.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Follow up on orders with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and optimize costs.
- Support in price negotiations and cost analysis for procurement efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support, including filing, data entry, and reporting.
Requirements
- Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years’ experience in purchasing/procurement are welcome to apply.
- Mandarin proficiency (spoken & written) is an added advantage for dealing with China suppliers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Good communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
