We are seeking a passionate, reliable, and experienced Physics Teacher (IGCSE) to join our dedicated academic team at Marifah International School. The ideal candidate will have strong subject knowledge in Physics, experience in delivering the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, and a commitment to engaging students and nurturing a love for scientific inquiry.
You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality Physics lessons, conducting assessments, supporting students’ academic development, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success. The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learners is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons in alignment with the IGCSE curriculum and school guidelines.
- Design assessments and activities that effectively evaluate and support student understanding.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and academic support where needed.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and active participation.
- Supervise and guide students during practical experiments, ensuring proper use of lab equipment and safety compliance.
- Prepare teaching materials and manage logistics for laboratory work and science-related activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with fellow educators on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives.
- Participate in professional development and school events.
- Contribute to co-curricular programs and enrichment activities related to science and innovation.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science Education, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an IGCSE or international school setting.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge IGCSE Physics curriculum is a strong advantage.
- Trained in or open to professional development in student-centered teaching methodologies.
- Excellent classroom management and lesson planning skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (fluency required).
- Patient, approachable, and supportive in dealing with students of various learning abilities.
- Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team-oriented academic environment.
Working Hours: 7:40AM – 2:30PM, Monday to Friday
