Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Baker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, assembly, and presentation of a variety of desserts and pastry items. You will play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our baked goods while ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be punctual and ready to work at scheduled times.
- Prepare and manage the mise en place for all dessert items.
- Assist team members and the pastry chef as needed.
- Assemble and display desserts in the dessert showcase.
- Regularly check and document chiller and freezer temperatures to ensure food safety.
- Support the pastry chef in preparing ingredients and materials.
- Conduct daily and weekly cleaning of the kitchen, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Organize the chiller and freezer regularly, ensuring proper storage of items.
- Monitor stock levels of desserts in the showcase and replenish as necessary.
- Record and report ingredients that need reordering to maintain inventory.
- Prepare bakery ingredients such as pastry dough, fillings, and more.
- Check and replenish stock on the pastry shelf to ensure availability.
