Job Summary
The Buyer is responsible for procuring goods and services essential for the organization's operations while ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. Collaborating with vendors, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong supplier relationships are essential to optimize procurement processes. The Buyer plays a pivotal role in maintaining inventory levels, tracking market trends, and adhering to budgetary guidelines to support seamless business operations and achieve organizational objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Comply with ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO 14001 : 2015, ISO 45001 : 2018, ISO 22301 : 2019, ISO 13485 :2016
Purchase Order Processing:
- Generate purchase orders for required materials, goods, or services based on requisitions and purchasing policies.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of purchase orders, including quantities, specifications, and delivery details.
Supplier Communication:
- Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, negotiate terms, and track delivery schedules.
- Address any urgent inquiries or issues related to deliveries, quality, or payments.
Inventory Monitoring:
- Review and analyze inventory levels to determine reordering needs and prevent stockouts.
- Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
Supplier Evaluation:
- Assess supplier performance based on delivery timeliness, quality of goods, and adherence to contract terms.
- Document and maintain supplier performance records for future reference and decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Economics, or a related field. Some roles may require a master's degree or professional certifications.
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field, preferably with exposure to various industries and products.
- Ability to negotiate effectively to secure favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Possess strong negotiation skills to secure advantageous terms and conditions while building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers.
