Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic, detail-oriented Financial Controller to lead our finance department and ensure the company’s financial integrity, compliance, and long-term growth. This leadership role involves full-spectrum financial management, strategic planning, investor relations, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee preparation and analysis of accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and statutory filings
- Ensure full compliance with MFRS, IFRS, tax laws, and other financial regulations
- Lead financial strategy, risk management, and capital planning to support business growth and investment readiness
- Engage and liaise with investment banks, external auditors, tax consultants, and potential investors
- Monitor financial performance and advise management with key insights and recommendations
- Implement and maintain strong internal control systems and financial governance policies
- Manage company cash flow, working capital, and financial sustainability
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to support a high-performance culture
- Drive system and process improvements to enhance reporting and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Educational Background : A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; a master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, ACCA) is preferred. Must be an MIA member
- Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Financial Reporting : Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts; strong understanding of MFRS and IFRS.
- Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Strategic Planning : Experience in financial strategy development, risk management, and providing insights to support business decisions and growth initiatives. Able to deal with investment banks, investors, etc.
- Experience in liaising with investors, investment bankers, and senior leadership
- Proficient in ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
- Proficient in both Mandarin and English

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
