Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician in a PCB Factory is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machines, equipment, and systems used in the manufacturing of printed circuit boards. This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting machinery malfunctions, and ensuring that all systems operate in compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on machines used in PCB manufacturing, including soldering machines, pick-and-place machines, etching equipment, and AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues on production equipment.
- Perform adjustments and calibrations on PCB assembly lines to ensure high-quality production standards.
Preventive Maintenance:
- Implement scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, calibration, and testing of PCB production equipment and machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades or replacements as needed to prevent downtime.
Equipment Installation & Setup:
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment used in PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Set up machinery for new production runs and ensure optimal performance at the start of each shift.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of spare parts, tools, and supplies to ensure minimal downtime.
- Work with suppliers to procure the necessary parts for machinery repairs and replacements.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to production teams during machine malfunctions and operational disruptions.
- Collaborate with engineers to optimize machine performance and improve production processes.
Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance work performed, including repairs, calibrations, and replacements, for future reference.
- Maintain logs for machinery uptime and downtime to identify recurring issues.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to urgent maintenance issues during production shifts to minimize downtime and ensure continuity in manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree related to electrical systems, automated manufacturing systems, or PCB-related quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
