Job Overview:
The Legal Specialist will support regional legal and compliance functions by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing customer/vendor onboarding processes. The role also involves corporate secretarial tasks and maintaining proper legal documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate business contracts with customers and vendors
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual standards, and regional regulations
- Maintain and update contract templates in line with legal changes
- Conduct KYC checks, sanctions screening, and prepare due diligence reports
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for customers and vendors, escalating issues when needed
- Draft board resolutions and support corporate secretarial duties, including regulatory filings
- Maintain accurate records and ensure efficient legal document management
What We’re Looking For:
- Law Degree (LLB or equivalent)
- 4–5 years of legal experience (law firm corporate department or in-house legal team)
- Proficiency in spoken Chinese to communicate with overseas Chinese-speaking clients
- Strong knowledge of business contracts and compliance practices
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills
