Position Summary
The Lecturer will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, supervising research students, and contributing to the development and accreditation of the PhD in Education (by Research) programme. The role requires a strong research background, a commitment to academic excellence, and the ability to meet MQA requirements for postgraduate supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Supervision
- Deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials for postgraduate research students.
- Supervise PhD candidates, ensuring timely progress and quality research output.
- Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to students.
Curriculum & Quality Assurance
- Participate in curriculum development, review, and enhancement.
- Contribute to the preparation and submission of MQA accreditation documents.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and MQA standards.
Research & Scholarly Activity
- Conduct original research in the field of education and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Present research findings at academic conferences and seminars.
- Apply for research grants and contribute to collaborative research projects.
Academic & Administrative Duties
- Participate in departmental and faculty meetings.
- Engage in academic advising and student support activities.
- Undertake administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
- Education: PhD in Education (by Research).
- Experience:
- Proven track record in research supervision and publication.
- Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in higher education (post-PhD preferred).
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong academic writing, research methodology, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of MQA accreditation standards.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and mentoring skills.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
