Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior Test Manager to support testing activities across banking applications and infrastructure projects. The role involves coordinating test planning, execution, and defect management for initiatives such as core banking system enhancements, digital banking solutions, and regulatory compliance projects. The Junior Test Manager will work closely with senior test managers, business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of banking systems within regulatory and security requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and managing test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Support end-to-end testing activities including Functional, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Regression Testing for banking applications.
- Coordinate with business users, developers, and testers to track test execution progress and defect resolution.
- Maintain test documentation, test summary reports, and provide updates on testing status to project stakeholders.
- Support defect management by logging, prioritizing, and tracking issues in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, Azure DevOps).
- Ensure test activities comply with banking IT governance, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g., AML/KYC, PCI-DSS, BNM).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) or Waterfall project meetings to represent testing updates.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams for performance testing, security testing, and operational acceptance testing (OAT).
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to testing processes, automation, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, or project coordination (banking/financial services preferred).
- Basic understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, V-Model).
- Knowledge of test types: Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, and Performance Testing.
- Familiarity with banking applications (Core Banking, Internet/Mobile Banking, Payment Systems, Risk/Compliance applications) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and exposure to test/project tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Preferred Certifications (optional, but an advantage):
- ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level (CTFL)
- Agile Testing (Scrum Alliance or similar)
- ITIL Foundation (for process awareness in banking IT)

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM5,001.47 - RM7,493.60 per month
