Key Responsibilities
Monitor IT infrastructure (servers, storage, and network) and respond to alerts and incidents.
Perform basic troubleshooting and support for Linux and Windows operating systems.
Provide L1 support for end-users related to system access, file permissions, and printer/network connectivity issues.
Assist in patch management, system updates, and health checks.
Handle service requests and incidents using the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy).
Escalate unresolved issues to L2/L3 support teams with proper documentation.
Maintain up-to-date inventory and documentation of IT assets.
Follow standard operating procedures and comply with IT policies and security standards.
Work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, if required.
Technical Skills
Linux (Basic Knowledge):
User management (adduser, passwd)
File system navigation and permissions
Basic services (e.g., SSH, cron)
Log file review (/var/log)
Windows (Basic Knowledge):
User account management (Active Directory basics)
File/folder permissions
Services and event log monitoring
Basic PowerShell usage
General:
Familiarity with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus
Basic networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP, ping/traceroute)
Exposure to ticketing tools
Awareness of ITIL concepts is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM3,513.56 - RM4,543.63 per month
