Intern, IT Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure Support and ITIL

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled intern to join our IT Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure team. The successful candidate will support our cloud infrastructure and assist in incident management to ensure high availability and performance of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance and support of cloud-based infrastructure services, including compute, storage, and networking components.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance issues, outages, and service degradation.
• Participate in incident response activities, including initial analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination with senior team members.
• Help document incident reports and post-mortem analyses to improve future response efforts.
• Participate in shaping operational strategies and improving best practices for the efficient management of cloud-based infrastructure.
• Work in tandem with diverse teams to facilitate and improve the processes of continuous integration and continuous deployment within the cloud framework.
• Engage in proactive capacity planning and resource optimization efforts.
• Participate in the creation and updating of system documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Learn and adhere to IT security policies and procedures to ensure a secure cloud environment.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• The internship is a mandatory requirement by the university, and applicants must be able to commit to a 6-month duration.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/Linux), networking concepts, and virtualization technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Some experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
