We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drafter/Draughtsman with intermediate experience in producing high-quality 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of drafting principles and industry standards, supporting engineering teams in creating precise technical drawings for plant design and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
- Interpret and convert technical sketches, specifications, and engineering designs into detailed drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to update and revise drawings as needed.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions.
- Assist in the preparation of layout plans, piping designs, and equipment arrangements.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to design specifications.
- Support the drafting team with best practices in CAD modeling and drawing techniques.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma or certification in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D with hands-on experience in creating and modifying models.
- Strong knowledge of piping and mechanical drafting principles.
- Understanding of plant design and industrial layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in CAD drafting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other CAD software like Autodesk Navisworks or SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with engineering processes in oil & gas, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and visualization techniques.
