Key Responsibilities:
1. Teaching & Learning
- Develop, deliver, and assess undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Information Technology, covering areas such as programming, software engineering, cybersecurity, cloud computing, artificial intelligence/machine learning, and data science.
- Employ innovative, student-centered, and inclusive teaching methodologies, including blended and online learning approaches.
- Supervise student projects, dissertations, and internships, providing academic and professional guidance.
- Participate in ongoing curriculum development and review, ensuring alignment with current industry practices and academic standards.
2. Research & Scholarship
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in recognized journals and present findings at national and international conferences.
- Lead or actively contribute to research funding proposals and collaborative research initiatives.
- Supervise postgraduate research students at the Master’s and PhD levels.
- Engage in scholarly activities to support personal academic growth and enhance the institution’s research profile.
3. Academic Leadership & Service
- Mentor early-career faculty members and contribute to academic planning and program implementation.
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees, including activities related to accreditation, quality assurance, and academic governance.
- Foster partnerships with industry, higher education institutions, and professional organizations to enhance academic and career opportunities for students.
- Support student recruitment, engagement, and retention efforts, as well as contribute to outreach and community engagement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching with at least 5–7 years of academic experience.
- A strong record of peer-reviewed publications, research projects, or applied industry work.
- Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Proficiency in modern IT tools, technologies, and teaching platforms (e.g., Moodle, MS Teams, Zoom).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
