Guest Room Cleaning
- Clean and prepare guest rooms according to resort standards:
- Change bed linens, make beds
- Dust furniture and surfaces
- Vacuum or mop floors
- Sanitize bathrooms, restock toiletries and towels
- Refill in-room amenities (coffee, water, etc.)
- Report room damage or maintenance needs to supervisors
Public Area Cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness in:
- Lobbies, corridors, lounges
- Public restrooms
- Poolside areas, gym, spa, and recreational facilities
- Sweep walkways and tidy resort grounds if required
Laundry Duties
- Collect, sort, and send linen and guest laundry to laundry services
- Fold, iron, and stock clean towels, linens, and uniforms
- Ensure proper storage and inventory of linen supplies
Deep Cleaning Tasks (Periodic)
- Perform scheduled deep-cleaning activities:
- Carpet shampooing
- Polishing floors or furniture
- Cleaning air vents, curtains, or windows
- Disinfecting high-touch areas during outbreaks (e.g., post-COVID SOPs)
Stocking & Inventory
- Maintain housekeeping trolley with necessary supplies
- Report low inventory levels to supervisor
- Store cleaning products safely in designated areas
Guest Interaction (When Needed)
- Respond to guest requests (extra pillows, towels, etc.)
- Report lost-and-found items following resort policy
- Ensure discretion and guest privacy at all times
Skills & Qualifications
- Physically fit; able to lift, bend, and work long hours
- Attention to detail and cleanliness
- Basic English or Malay to understand instructions or guest requests
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Experience preferred, but on-the-job training is often provided
- Friendly and respectful demeanor
