A well-established listed company that is a strong player in its industry and has presence globally. They are looking to bring on board a few excellent Project Accountant to support their team in Petaling Jaya.
Job description:
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and statements of equity, in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, MPSAS, MPERS). Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting.
-Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and accounting standards changes that impact financial reporting. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
-Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights to management on financial performance and variances.
-Implement and maintain effective internal controls over financial reporting to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity. Identify control gaps and recommend improvements.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, accounting, legal, and compliance to gather necessary information for financial reporting. Ensure seamless communication and coordination to facilitate accurate reporting.
-Coordinate and support external audit processes. Prepare audit schedules, liaise with auditors, and address inquiries to ensure a smooth audit experience.
-Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for distribution to senior management, board of directors, investors, and regulatory authorities.
-Assist in preparing financial disclosures for regulatory filings, ensuring transparency and accuracy of information presented to the public and investors.
Requirement to succeed
- Diploma in Accounting / Finance or any equivalent field
- 1 - 3 years of related working experience would be preferred
- Good written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu would be advantage.
