Position : FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Level: Senior Manager Work

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project & Operational Finance

• Oversee end-to-end financial and management accounting functions across multiple renewable energy projects and entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Lead monthly and annual financial closing, financial statements preparation, and cash flow monitoring, in line with MFRS and applicable regulatory standards.
• Manage project budget planning, variance analysis, and cost control in coordination with site-level finance teams and project leads.
• Develop and maintain effective internal controls, financial policies, and reporting standards to support project governance and risk management.
• Coordinate and lead statutory audits, tax compliance, and other regulatory reporting requirements for project companies.
• Support project lifecycle reporting, including capital expenditure tracking, progress claims, revenue recognition, and project cash flow status. Business Partnering & Commercial Support
• Act as a finance business partner to the Renewable Energy Sector, working closely with project directors, technical teams, and commercial units to understand project needs, financial drivers, and business priorities.
• Participate in project meetings, investment evaluations, and planning sessions to align finance strategies with on-ground execution.
• Provide proactive financial insights, scenario modelling, and recommendations to support project decision-making and commercial negotiations.
• Ensure financial processes and policies remain responsive to the operational dynamics of large-scale infrastructure and energy projects. Corporate Finance & Treasury
• Support the CFO in managing project financing structures, including loan administration, debt covenant monitoring, and lender relationship management.
• Oversee treasury functions, including fund placements, cash flow forecasting, and optimization of working capital across business units.
• Assist in financial due diligence, project viability assessments, and strategic funding proposals for new initiatives or business expansion.
• Liaise with banks, financial advisors, and internal stakeholders on capital planning, funding strategies, and treasury operations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CPA, ICAEW) are strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience, including managerial-level exposure in project-based financial environments.
• Demonstrated experience in project accounting, financial operations, and treasury management within infrastructure, energy, utilities, or related industries.
• Strong technicalknowledge of accounting standards (MFRS), tax compliance, and consolidation reporting.
• Experience in managing external audits, banking relationships, and financing structures for large-scale capital projects.
• Solid leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a hands on approach and commercial mindset.
• High degree of integrity, analytical thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on, with strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.

• Petrol Allowance: RM600.00
• Handphone Allowance: RM250.00
• EPF Contribution:
• Employee: 11%

• Annual Leave: 20 days per year
